There has been a clear market crunch on the cost of importing specialty and single origin coffees from around the globe, the result of this is the international price
has reached the highest prices since 1977.
There are three reasons why the increases. Firstly Brazil’s production being affected by
climate, and Vietnam has had severe problems for the same reason and lastly the world reserves have been affected by climate, demand and supply.
This all inadvertently affects you the customer, and for this we want to thank you for your continued support of our small family business. Please remember that our "POUND" of coffee is still a true pound (454g), we have not done "shrinkflation" to 343g - so thus keeping us comparable in price even with the increases.
Sincerely,
Owner/Roaster - Mountain View Roasterie Ltd.
