  The unique one-piece hourglass shaped Chemex® coffeemaker was created by a German inventor, Peter Schlumbohm, more than sixty years ago. It is recognized for its distinctive, elegant simplicity and gracefulness. Made of high quality, heat resistant glass, the traditional model comes with a polished wood collar and leather tie, which serves as an insulated handle around the middle of the coffeemaker.

  Together with the Chemex-Bonded® filter paper, the Chemex® coffeemaker makes perfect coffee every time. This is because the coffee comes in contact only with the filter and non-porous glass, thereby providing a clear, pure, and flavour-filled coffee lacking bitterness and sediment. Simply remove the filter containing coffee grounds, pour your fresh hot coffee, rinse the Chemex® and it is now ready for the next brew. And best of all, it takes only minutes to make the perfect cup of coffee. Because it is heat resistant it can also be stored refrigerated for iced-coffee drinks in summer.
